If we take “The Godzilla Revelation” as canon, then the Honolulu attack took place the day the movie was released in the U.S.
GODZILLA #9 Cover by Matt Frank (ORIGINAL INKS)
Today, I present to you the original cover of GODZILLA issue #9, the series written by Duane Swierczynski and illustrated by Simon Gane (also known as Godzilla: History’s Greatest Monster). This piece was done by artist Matt Frank.
If you’re at all familiar with the series or the cover, you’ll notice a drastic difference between this piece and the final piece. As in, one of the monsters is totally different. The final piece looks like this.
Megaguirus was originally supposed to be the fourth space monster of the series, alongside Spacegodzilla, Hedorah, and Gigan. However, she was ultimately replaced by Monster X. Maybe because Monster X was able to transform into Keizer Ghidorah and all that. Also partly because Megaguirus isn’t from space, and I’m not sure if Toho would’ve been okay with that.
This would’ve been the first appearance of Megaguirus in comics. In a way, it is. Megaguirus has since appeared in Godzilla: Rulers of Earth #9, and is set to appear in future issues of ROE and Cataclysm.
All credit of course goes to Matt Frank, I just scanned it. ;)

Behind the scenes with Guiron on the set of Gamera vs. Guiron.
I hope Mr. Yuasa didn’t cut himself.
Behold, the smile of a man who said, as he finished his film, “lol this is gonna piss off so many goddamn nerds on the internet”
Especially since this was like the third time in the movie…
So here’s a female MUTO based off of some concept art, made for the Titanium Splicer contest, using only Salamence and Kyurem. I’m still not done/ don’t think I’ve got a shot but ehhh let’s share either way.
For those of you who are unenlightened…. The 1998 video game “Godzilla Generations” was based around destroying cities as giant monsters. There were a number of playable characters, including Godzilla, Minilla, ZIlla, Mechagodzilla … …
and Giant Dr. Serizawa. —- Who attacks the city with the Oxygen Destroyer and a laser gun hidden behind his eye patch. Because Japan.
