Anybody remember these old black and white books? They’re the Crestwood House Monsters books, and I used to check them out aaaalll the fucking time from the library as a kid, haha. I remember borrowing the Godzilla one, like, a million times. This is how I learned about all the classic horror movies.

A while after I read those, I discovered the book in the second picture, “Monster Madness”. That was like, my favorite fucking book as a kid, and it introduced me to even more monster movies. Man, I wanna track all of these down just for nostalgia’s sake.

Oh man. I’d check those Crestwood House books out from the library all the time when I was little, especially the Godzilla one. Takes me back.

There is so much to love about this!

Judging by the illustration, it’s Frankenstein who serves as the glue for this uneasy alliance.

Look at how pained Dracula looks, like it’s eating his very soul to pal around with these other monsters.

Then there’s the action figure. Franks’s arms are longer than his legs!

I love these. I would never have thought to compare Leatherface to the Wolf Man, but it kinda works.

Also, I like how they threw in Needle Nose even though he’s from Season 2 and this panel depicts Season 1.
